My Life (sometimes I need to share)

New Home Workout Ideas and My 5 Year Reunion

I know many of you are probably frustrated by the fact that after a gorgeous spring filled weekend we are now stuck with some miserably and dare I say wintery weather. Gross. What this meant for me was a morning workout inside the comfort of my own apartment, because running a mile to the gym in this weather was simply not going to happen. I went ahead and put together several miscellaneous small workouts from various sources, and enjoyed it enough to share with all of you :) Here goes.

This video was my favorite! I was sweating within the first few minutes. Next time I’ll do this one more than once.

I loved the innovative ab moves in this video. I’ve never heard of a static press or rolling abs before; it was so fun and interesting!

This past weekend was the first time since the fall that I took an entire day off from studying- and it was such a nice feeling! I traveled to St. Louis for my 5 year college reunion at Washington University. Not only did I get to see some of my closest friends, but I also had the opportunity to reconnect with a lot of people I haven’t seen since graduation. I was so impressed with how accomplished and settled everyone was! It was strange feeling like everyone around me had matured so significantly, yet not noticing the same changes in myself. It’s amazing how quickly one can fall back into old friendships like no time has passed!

Other than my weekend break, my life is pretty much filled with long study hours. I’m taking two sets of boards in June and my semester is coming to a close. It’s crazy to think that I’ll be done with half of medical school in a month! I can’t wait to start my rotations in hospitals where I can apply the things I’ve learned to real life situations (nerdy, I know). Until then it’s study, eat, workout, and sleep. And, of course, carve out little breaks here and there for time with family and friends.

I hope everyone enjoys the holidays this week!
